A DAY IN NICOSIA

Nicosia is the only divided city left in the world today. Part of the city is under Turkish occupation. Begin the day with a visit to a handicraft centre where we can see the traditional skills still performed, and then continue to the Green Line which divides the city. A visit is also made to the Presidential Palace. You will have plenty of time to shop in the city, the best area is Laiki Yitonia, the 19th century quarter which has been restored to its former glory. Also included is a visit to the Venetian walls encircling the town, a visit to the cathedral, and to see the Statue of Liberty Nicosia style!

EXPLORE THE TROODOS MOUNTAIN VILLAGES

Enjoy spectacular scenery with a visit is to the medieval village Omodos which still retains its historic charm and beauty. In Omodos one can visit the local winery and the famous monastery. Continue to the Troodos square (1800m above sea level ) to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Lunch will be in the unique village of Platres where the group will have the chance to stroll around and enjoy the mountain countryside. Mini Golf, Watermania Waterpark and 16-lane Bowling Alley nearby.
